Winter Concert

On December 11, 2008 the Fairforest Middle School Choral Department will present our Winter Concert. All chorus students will participate in this performance. Please come out and enjoy some beautiful music. We're sure this will put you in the holiday spirit!

Kentucky Trip

The advanced men's chorus will be traveling to Lexington, KY. in January. We will participate in the Male Chorus Day at the University of Kentucky. Information has been sent home with your student. If interested please fill out the form and return it by the 27th of October!

ACDA Weekend!

Mrs. Morrow would like to congratulate the students from FMS that took part in this year's ACDA Jr. High Honor Choir! Your work ethic was impressive and I was so very proud of you! The concert was excellent! Thank you so much for representing FMS so well! Keep up the good work.

A very special thank you to Dr. Foster and his wife for traveling to Rock Hill, SC to attend the concert! That meant lots to all of us!

Student Council

The students in the Advanced 7th and 8th grade classes will perform for Student Council installation on October 8th. Please note that these students should wear black pants or skirts and white shirts or blouses. This will be our first performance of the year.

Happy Weekend! Friday is finally here. Hope you have a great and restful weekend. See you on Monday. Don't forget your forms for SSA, TTB clinics and for shirt orders.

Reminders

Just a few reminders...

Sixth Graders are reminded to return forms for their performance shirts. The cost of the shirts is $15.00 and all money needs to be in by October 3, 2008.

All 7th and 8th graders in the Advanced Chorus are encouraged to pay your outfit rental fee so that performance attire can be issued. The cost is $15.00.

Students attending the TTB or SSA clinics are urged to return permission information.

ACDA State Honor Choir

FMS Chorus would like to congratulate the following students who were chosen to participate in the 2008 ACDA Jr. High Honor Choir. They are: Brittany Burgess, Madison Crocker, Cidney Foster, Breanna Fuller, Makenzie Horton, Conner Magar, Jemeshia McDowell, Sidney Monahan, and Kendall Sellars. These students will travel to Winthrop University on October 10-11 to rehearse and perform with chorus students from all over the state of South Carolina. Way to go FMS! We are very proud of you!
